Princess Cruises is proud to launch its eagerly anticipated 2025 Alaska season, carrying more guests to Alaska than any other line with seven ships, five exclusive wilderness lodges and an expanded portfolio of cruisetours. From the cobalt-blue glaciers of Glacier Bay National Park to the untamed forests of Denali, the season promises once-in-a-lifetime experiences ashore and aboard. Departures from five home ports—Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver and Anchorage (Whittier)—ensure convenient access to Alaska’s majestic frontier.

New Glacier-Focused Voyages

For guests seeking deeper glacier immersion, Princess introduces two brand-new voyages in 2025. On 6 May, Grand Princess departs Seattle on a 17-day roundtrip, calling at ten ports and visiting three iconic glaciers—Hubbard, College Fjord and Glacier Bay National Park—paired with scenic rail excursions and wildlife-viewing opportunities.

Then, on 6 June, Ruby Princess embarks on a spectacular 22-day Ultimate Alaska Solstice cruise from San Francisco, timed to coincide with the summer solstice and featuring four glaciers: Endicott Arm and Dawes, Hubbard, College Fjord and Glacier Bay. Both voyages combine extended glacier viewing with visits to remote communities and expert-led presentations by the ‘North to Alaska™’ team.

Voyage of the Glaciers & Inside Passage Classics

Princess’ signature Voyage of the Glaciers sailings bridge Vancouver and Anchorage with seven- to fourteen-night roundtrip cruises aboard Coral Princess, Caribbean Princess and Sapphire Princess. Guests traverse icy fjords, call at Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway, and can add award-winning cruisetours into the interior to explore Denali National Park.

Meanwhile, Inside Passage itineraries offer more intimate discoveries: seven-day roundtrips from Seattle on Royal Princess and Discovery Princess, and five- to eleven-day departures from Vancouver on Grand Princess, Coral Princess and Caribbean Princess. All vessels provide panoramic rail journeys beside the sea and deluxe glass-domed cars for viewing rugged shoreline and leafy inlets.

Expanded Cruisetours & Wilderness Lodge Upgrades

In 2025, Princess expands its acclaimed cruisetour catalogue to include nine- to fifteen-day itineraries exploring up to five national parks—Glacier Bay, Denali, Wrangell-St. Elias, Kenai Fjords and Katmai. These land-and-sea programmes pair seven-day scenic “Voyage of the Glaciers” cruises with multiple days at Princess-owned wilderness lodges.

Notably, the newly refreshed Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge debuts a grand lobby with a monumental fireplace, cozy seating and floor-to-ceiling windows framing Denali’s peaks. A vintage Airstream coffee trailer now offers specialty brews and pastries, adding nostalgic charm to morning departures for park adventures.

Onboard with “North to Alaska™” Programmes

Princess’ award-winning “North to Alaska™” experience deepens every voyage with local expertise. In Glacier Bay, National Park Rangers host deck commentary, theatre presentations and Junior Ranger programmes, while hot chocolate and bouillon stations warm guests on open decks.

The North to Alaska Storytellers series features the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show, Tlingit and Alutiiq Cultural Ambassador Patrick Anderson, author Nick Jans and sled-dog champion Libby Riddles. Evenings come alive with Campfire Movies Under the Stars beside fire-pit replicas, a pop-up Northern Lights Lounge offering local beers and trivia, and guided deck stargazing or virtual planetarium presentations.

Youth and teen centres host Glacier Bay Junior Rangers, Gold Rush Treasure Hunts and Fishermen’s Races, ensuring younger cruisers connect with Alaska’s wonder.

Culinary Highlights of the 2025 Alaska Season

No Alaskan voyage is complete without fresh seafood: Main Dining Rooms, World Fresh Marketplace and specialty restaurants feature locally sourced sockeye, king and keta salmon, halibut and rockfish. Balcony Breakfast delivers smoked salmon and crab quiche directly to suites for glacier watching, while Discovery Princess invites anglers to “Cook My Catch” ashore and savour it aboard at The Catch by Rudi’s.

Crown Grill’s King Salmon steaks and Alaska crab cakes, plus Sabatini’s Trattoria’s River Steelhead Carpaccio, offer upscale alternatives. On deck, the Crab Shack serves clam chowders and seafood pots, while bars pour local Anchorage Distillery spirits, Denali Brewing beers and themed cocktails like the Glacier Shake and Campfire Daiquiri. In wilderness lodges, the Love Line Collection of cocktails enhances cozy evenings under the Northern sky.
