Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has officially unveiled its newest addition to the Prima Plus Class fleet, the Norwegian Luna™, scheduled to set sail in March 2026. The sister ship to Norwegian Aqua™, set to debut in 2025, Norwegian Luna is designed to deliver an elevated cruise experience with a focus on luxury, adventure, and immersive guest experiences. Sailing the Caribbean Aboard Norwegian Luna: Destinations and Itineraries
NCL’s Norwegian Luna will sail roundtrip Caribbean itineraries from Miami, offering guests a chance to explore some of the most beautiful and culturally rich destinations in the region. Its inaugural season, starting in April 2026, includes two key routes:
- Western Caribbean Voyages: These seven-day cruises will take guests to Roatan Island, Honduras, the vibrant ports of Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico, and the exclusive Harvest Caye in Belize, NCL’s private resort-style destination.
- Eastern Caribbean Voyages: The second itinerary will highlight the stunning islands of the Eastern Caribbean, including stops at Puerto Plata, Tortola, St. Thomas, and Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas, which will feature a new pier by late 2025.
With its 3,550-passenger capacity, Norwegian Luna is a slightly larger version of its predecessors, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva, making it one of the most luxurious and spacious ships in the fleet. One of the most exciting features of Norwegian Luna is its stunning hull art, designed by acclaimed street artist ELLE. Known for her bold and imaginative creations, ELLE’s design for Norwegian Luna, titled "La Luna," was inspired by the moonlight reflecting on the sea. The vibrant artwork symbolises humanity’s connection with the celestial forces, creating a dreamscape that enhances the ship’s overall aesthetic and sets it apart as a work of art on the water.

Norwegian Luna will mirror the upscale design and innovative features of Norwegian Aqua, while offering new, exhilarating attractions that are sure to captivate guests. The ship will be equipped with the Aqua Slidecoaster, the longest and fastest hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide at sea, set to debut on Norwegian Aqua in 2025. This thrilling attraction features dual slides with a magnetic lift propelling guests through twisting turns around the ship’s funnel.
In addition to the Aqua Slidecoaster, Norwegian Luna will offer a range of interactive activities, including the Glow Court, a digital sports complex that transforms into a vibrant nightclub in the evening. Guests will also enjoy returning favourites like The Drop, the 10-story free-fall slide, and the Stadium, a complimentary outdoor activity space.
