Slated to welcome its first guests in July 2025, Celebration Key is poised to offer an unparalleled day in paradise, rich in beauty, culture, and endless fun. Among its five captivating portals, Paradise Plaza and Calypso Lagoon emerge as the epitome of tropical leisure and entertainment, promising unforgettable experiences for every traveler. ## **Paradise Plaza: Your Gateway to Grand Bahama** From the moment guests disembark at Celebration Key, Paradise Plaza extends a vibrant welcome with its brightly coloured promenade and radiant sun-shaped arch, setting the perfect scene for memorable photos. This bustling hub serves as the heart of the island, where the fusion of live music and the majestic sight of the 10-story-high Suncastle ignites excitement for the day ahead. Paradise Plaza is designed to cater to all interests and ages, offering a plethora of activities and relaxation options. Whether you're drawn to the tranquility of a cabana, the thrill of water sports, the exploration of shore excursions, or simply the serene beauty of a mile-long pristine beach, Paradise Plaza is your starting point for adventure. The plaza’s Bahamian-themed fountain and ice cream shop further enhance the welcoming atmosphere, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the island's charm. ![Paradise Plaza - Supplied by Carnival Cruise Line](https://blog.swblack.com.au/hs-fs/hubfs/Paradise_Plaza_Portal_Entrance%20(1).jpg?width=1920&height=803&name=Paradise_Plaza_Portal_Entrance%20(1).jpg) ## **Calypso Lagoon: An Adult Sanctuary of Fun and Relaxation** For guests seeking a more adult-centric retreat, Calypso Lagoon awaits. Located to the west of Paradise Plaza, this portal offers a lively social atmosphere alongside the largest freshwater lagoon in the Caribbean. Whether engaging in athletic pursuits at the sports court or lounging by the lagoon's edge, Calypso Lagoon is tailored for relaxation and enjoyment. The lagoon features a unique bar equipped with nearly 50 swings, allowing guests to dip their toes in the water while savoring poolside and Bahamian cocktails with a view. Multiple bars and dining options ensure that refreshment is always within reach, complementing the laid-back vibe of the beach, where sun, sand, and sea activities abound. An adults-only section of Calypso Lagoon enhances the escape, complete with a swim-up bar, a DJ to keep the energy high, and Bahamian food trucks serving local delights. This exclusive area promises a blend of relaxation and revelry, all against the backdrop of the Bahamas’ stunning natural beauty. ## **A New Era of Cruise Destination Fun** Christine Duffy, president of [Carnival Cruise Line](https://www.carnival.com/), encapsulates the essence of Celebration Key, stating, "When guests see our Suncastle as they arrive... they'll know immediately they're in for big FUN." Indeed, the innovative design and thoughtful development of each portal, particularly Paradise Plaza and Calypso Lagoon, reflect a deep commitment to showcasing the beauty of Grand Bahama while celebrating Bahamian culture. With three additional portals yet to be revealed, including a family-friendly area, a private retreat, and a retail space, the anticipation for Celebration Key continues to build. Moreover, Carnival has plans for a second phase that will introduce even more features, such as a waterpark, further expanding the possibilities for adventure and relaxation.
